At Methodist University, you have 2 options for microfridges:  

1. You may RENT a unit for $199 (and we will service it during the year if needed, providing room change services, and pick it up for you at the end of the year)

2. You may PURCHASE a unit for $99 (and then you will receive 90 day warranty and you are responsible for moving/storage/etc)  

These units are IDENTICAL units. The extra $100 basically provides you with more services, and an unlimited gaurantee that you will have a working fridge throughout the year.  If you choose to save the $100, then you will need to take the unit home with you at the end of the year, and IF something were to break on it after 90 days of use, then we are not responsible for replacing the unit for you.   However, in our general experience, if a unit is able to work for 90 days, then it is like 99% likely it will last throughout the year (and probably many more years to come).  All of our units, either rented or purchased, are older models, and they all show scratches and dents that you would expect that would come with older units like these. If you want a beautiful looking fridge, you should purchase one from walmart.
